My philosophy in workshops is that I teach new techniques and introduce the work of other artists in a variety of mediums to my students as inspirations and tools. My goal is that each student will use these skills to create their own unique vision of how they express their work. Both my commissions and studio work are in the collections of private collectors and public spaces. One of the most rewarding statements I've received was from a woman I did a commission for about her mother. She said that after completing the interview with me about her mother, the proposal for the art work and the finished commission she was reminded of so many good memories and times with her mother, it was an experience she wouldn't forget. |
