My first coneflower is exactly what it is, I grew it! So excited I've taken some photos and used it as inspiration for this piece. The coneflower is fabric collaged then thread sketched while being appliqued to the hand dyed background with all cotton hand dyed and commercial printed fabrics. Threads used are a mix of cotton and polyester. Quilted in Decobob 80wt thread with wool/poly batting. Collection of Kim Mettenbrink
