This piece is inspired by the long, thin scraps of fabric (up-cycled fat quarter fold scraps) that wanted to be blades of grass. Materials include commercial cotton and silk. Most pieces are fused onto black cotton and then fused, hand stitched or free motion embroidered onto the silk background using cotton thread on a domestic machine. Marbaum Collection
