Angry Nasty Woman Fights Back

What started as a rant about the election made me want to express how much I care about our country, our values and freedom. I deliberately left out the reference to God in the Pledge of Allegiance as it was added in 1954 and I believe, although not backed up by any facts that I am aware of, that it was the start of the current religious interference in our government. The writing on the legs is a stream of consciousness and the words coming out of the head are brain chatter (everything she is worried about).

Writing on dress:
The United States of America est 1776 I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands one nation indivisible with liberty and justice for all The United States of America est 1776 Our Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibit the free exercise thereof or the right of the people peaceably to assemble and to petition the government for a redress of grievances The United States of America established 1776 I pledge allegiance…

Writing on legs:
nasty angry women fight back nasty angry women protest nasty angry women love their country…

Materials: commercial fabrics and thread

Techniques: machine appliquer and stitched.
