Dance of Life: Tidal Pools

As I walked along a rocky shore in Maine at low tide, shallow pools of seawater mesmerized me. Intricate patterns emerged in the sand while water swirled, danced, and sang with a hypnotic rhythm. I was transformed and spiritually awakened by this intimate moment in time. Tide pool markings and swirls inspire the soul to imagine magical and delightful sea creatures. Although there is no evidence that mermaids exist outside folklore, reports of mermaid sightings still occur as we continue our forever changing Dance of Life. Photo by Joe Ofria |
