Future is in the Water

The woman is exposed, but ignored. In the dark street lit only by the faintest moon, others turn away, eyes averted. She wears a heavy coat with a thick wool scarf tied with a second scarf over the first. Putting all her attention into each tentative step on the night-dark, icy cobblestones, the woman attempts to maintain her fragile balance and stay in control.
