This is part of a concept series based on the dress. The dresses we wear (or don't), the dresses our foremothers wore, and those we wish we wore. A lot of quilters began their sewing life as clothes makers, including myself. I am trying to channel that tradition. 46 x 50 Raw edge applique, hand and machine sewn, quilted and embroidered. Discharged and over dyed cotton, silk and linen fabrics and fibers. |
