The Button Grass Series are abstract compositions using line, texture and color to portray the Button Grass plains in Tasmania. My compositions show the different patterns created by the seasons; both the subtle changes and endless color combinations are reflected in the wider landscape as well as individual tussocks. 32 x 45
Painted, hand stitched and pieced, hand and machine quilted.
Silks, recycled dressmaker pattern tissues, fusible web, cotton threads, cotton batting and acrylic paints.
