I strayed into art quilting after starting a traditional quilt and feeling that repeating a single block some multiple of times would quickly drive me to madness.  At about this time, I discovered art quilts and began working on my own ideas whenever I could.  Color is my great joy, but I also am fascinated by the unplanned results that come from using rust-dying and other uncontrolled techniques.  Nature is my foremost inspiration.

In 2011, I completed the Certificate program in Fiber Arts at the University of Washington.  Combining my love of fiber arts with my current graduate student life in the Communications field, I maintain a blog about current fiber arts events at http://fibresnorthwest.com/.
