In 2007, Carol rented an art studio in the RiNo Art district of Denver, and started devoting full time to making fiber art.  Since then, Carol's fiber art has been juried and invited into more than 50 national and international exhibitions.  She is the author of five books on quilt-making and fiber art.  Her newest one, Stupendous Stitching, was published in the spring of 2012 and is now in its third printing.

Her art has been featured in many books and magazines including 500 Art Quilts, 1,000 Artisan Textiles, The Ultimate Guide to Art Quilt Techniques (to be published in 2014) American Quilter, Quilter's Newsletter, SAQA Journal, Artscape Magazine, Quilting Arts Magazine, Machine Quilting Unlimited, Fiber Art Now, Studios Magazine and her gallery/studio will be featured in a new magazine called Creative Spaces, to be published in the fall of 2013.  She is featured in In Stitches Magazine Vol 5 and has appeared as the featured artist on The Quilt Show, PBS's Quilting Arts, Quilter's Newsletter TV and QNNtv. CBS Channel 4 interviewed Carol and showcased her art as part of their Denver Arts Week promotion in 2010.

Her work was juried into the prestigious Lincoln Center's New Legacies: Contemporary Art Quilts exhibit and was awarded first prize in 2009.  She also served as a judge for the 2012 Fabric of Legacies exhibit as well as the first annual quilting exhibit in Bulgaria.

Carol's art has been purchased by several major corporations and individual collectors. She recently completed a large public art commission for the new Eastside Human Services Building for the City of Denver.  Carol just finished two commissions:  one for the new Adventist hospital in Castle Rock and one to be hung at the renovated Grand Hyatt in Denver.  She is now working on a commission for the new Union Station building in downtown Denver.

Carol lectures and teaches workshops all over the country to quilt guilds as well as at major quilt venues such as the International Quilt Festival, Quilting by the Lake, and the American Quilter's Society.  She teaches three classes online at Craftsy.com where more than 20,000 students from more than 100 countries worldwide are learning her fiber art techniques.

Carol has just moved her working studio and opened up a new Contemporary Art Gallery (aBuzz Gallery) in the RiNo Art District of Denver.  The mission of her gallery is to help 5-6 emerging and established artists each year, learn how to market and sell their art directly to consultants, corporation and collectors.
